I just wanted to say thanks again for the wonderful class. It really was a great time for Brent and I to gain some more knowledge and get more comfortable in our soon-to-be roles. Brent was even overly satisfied with the class and that’s saying something!!

Meet Your Birth and Baby Experts

Hi, I'm Kathy!

I've taught thousands of mothers, fathers, and caregivers how to care for babies for the past 30+ years and have attended over 10,000 births!
I hold a Masters Degree in Nursing, am a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and am a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I'm also a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and I co-own Parenting Resources, a resource center for new and expectant parents with my daughter, Kate. Yep, we're an epic mother-daughter duo and family run business. I still work in the NICU, am an expert legal witness on neonatal cases, and I speak throughout the nation as an industry expert on all things babies. But none of that can compare to the real life experience that I've acquired over the years. I can't wait to share all of it with you!

Hi, I'm Kate!

I co-founded Parenting Resources in St. Louis, Missouri with my Mom, Kathy, in 2014. I had been working with families for years as a social worker. When I was pregnant with my son Conner, I had so much anxiety surrounding simply wanting to be prepared. After I had him, I experienced every challenge under the sun, from breastmilk supply issues to postpartum depression. None of my prenatal hospital classes covered anything that I was encountering! So through my experiences, I became passionate about helping other new and expectant parents. Since then, I became a Certified Babywearing Specialist, Lactation Counselor, Postpartum Doula, Car Seat Technician, and I trained with Postpartum Support International. This comprehensive course is what I wish I would have had available to me when I was expecting and soon after having a little one.

Hi, I'm Angie!

I want to live in a world where every family feels comfortable and confident with their pregnancy and birth.  As a Prenatal Yoga Instructor, and Certified Holistic Health Consultant, I have helped pregnant and postpartum women cope with the ever-changing shifts in their bodies and lives, while giving them tools to help support their systems through nutrition and wellness. As a Childbirth Educator and Birth and Postpartum Doula, I have guided many families in creating the birth experience they envision, and as a CLC have taught many expectant and new parents how to meet their breastfeeding goals.
